Srinagar, May 20 (KNO) : Acting chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Abdul Hamid Butt Monday paid tributes to Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Muhammad Farooq and Shaheed-e-Hurriyat Khawaja Abdul Gani Lone represent the spirit of resistance against oppression and illegal occupation. “Shaheed-e-Millat as a young man strived for the return and recovery of Moyay Muqaddas under the banner of a united front and till his last breath stood and strived for unity among Kashmiris and Shaheed-e-Hurriyat breathed his last while defending unity and oneness of this nation,” he said as per a statement issued to KNO. Terming the two Martyrs as legends, Butt said that “best tribute to be offered to these great sons of soil is to safeguard our resistance, unity and oneness among the ranks and files of the resistance camp.” “Both these martyrs represented the essence of our relentless resistance against oppression, suppression and illegal occupation. It is our duty to safeguard unity among Kashmiris and stand united and one against Indian hegemony and aggression,” he said. He said that “the freedom struggle of Kashmiris is adorned with the blood of martyrs and therefore no power on earth can defeat it by oppressive measures. Shaheed Mirwaiz Muhammad Farooq and Shaheed Khawaja Abdul Gani Lone strived for the holy cause and sacrificed their lives for it and therefore wrote their name with honor and dignity in the annals of our history.”(KNO)
